Keeping it fresh

Keep apples cool. Ripen bananas at room temperature and separate them from other produce.

Give each fruit its own place.
Keep apples refrigerated to help preserve their crispness. Ripen bananas at room temperature away from direct heat and sunlight. Keep both apart from ethylene-sensitive vegetables.
Let ripeness guide the week.
Check the fruit regularly and use sound, riper items first. Ask our sales team about the apple variety or preferred banana ripeness when you order.
Wash and prepare with care.
Rinse apples before eating or slicing. Keep cut fruit covered in the fridge at 4°C or colder. Sound ripe bananas can be peeled, portioned and frozen for a future smoothie or baking.

Use clean running water before eating or preparing produce. Soap and household detergents are unsuitable. Keep produce and utensils separate from raw meat and seafood. Storage life depends on variety, ripeness, condition and temperature.
